Anderson-Prichard Oil Company published many roadmaps during the life of the company. Roadmaps were a must-have in the days before the advent of Google Maps and GPS. Roadmaps were an easy up-sell in Anderson-Prichard gas stations, and some were used as promotional instruments for specific gas stations — maps sometimes had blank sections purposefully left on the covers where station owners could add their name and address.
The cartography in the maps was by the prominent mapmaker company, Rand McNally.
